You do not have to go through YOUR pregnancy after loss alone

Pregnancy is supposed to be a time of excitement – of looking forward to a blissful future. But what if you already know that a positive pregnancy test doesn’t always guarantee a baby in your arms? Being pregnant after loss can come with uncertainty and fear, often overriding the joy you should be experiencing.

If you are pregnant again

after experiencing pregnancy or infant loss, this probably feels familiar…

You feel crippling anxiety, fear and knots in your stomach intrusive thoughts that whisper  “what if this happens again?”

Some days you feel happy and excited, other days guilty and terrified you find yourself on an emotional rollercoaster as you relive the grief and trauma of losing your baby again and again

Doctors appointments and ultrasounds should be something to look forward to but instead you find yourself terrified to hear the words ‘there’s no heartbeat’

You feel powerless, like you have no sense of control leaving you feeling ungrounded, just waiting for the other shoe to drop

You struggle to connect with your baby – afraid that if you get too close, or you fall too deeply in love, you risk having your heart broken all over again

You feel isolated in your pregnancy – even if you have a therapist or dedicated partner, this is an experience other people just don’t get

Mama, my heart goes out to you, But I WANT YOU TO KNOW..

You are not alone

  • 1 in 4 pregnancies end in miscarriage

  • 1 in 160 babies are stillborn

  • 50-80% of women who experience perinatal loss become pregnant again within 12 – 18 months

There are literally hundreds of thousands of women who are going through exactly what you are.

And yet the world carries, on pretending that pregnancy after loss is no different.

The truth is…

Pregnancy after loss is a very different experience than your typical pregnancy. It is riddled with complicated emotions, trauma and grief – all while you’re trying to balance the hope and fear of growing a new little life inside of your womb.

The birth of the haven

Kristin’s Story

Throughout my journey to motherhood, I lost 4 little ones, including my daughter Vienna and son William, before I carried my first living daughter home with me.

Each pregnancy after my first loss was an emotional rollercoaster. What was meant to be a beautiful, pivotal time in my life, had also quickly became an incredibly stress-ridden and isolating experience – filled with the highest of highs, and also the lowest of lows. You would expect the anxiety to decrease the further I got in my pregnancy, but unfortunately… it only intensified. The risk of another heartbreak was high.

As a Doula, I expected to be prepared for the complicated emotions of pregnancy and birth – and yet I was totally taken off guard by how completely alone I felt – and how few resources exist to support and care for someone who is pregnant after loss.

After the moment I thought would never come, and I finally held my daughter Sena safely in my arms – I made a promise to myself that I would do whatever it takes to make sure no other mother had to go through what I did, all alone.

DEAR MAMA

What if you could feel supported, seen and held throughout your pregnancy? What if you had a space where you could hope and dream despite everything you’ve been through?

The Haven

A 12-week online program with Doula support, birth education and a safe space for expecting mothers after loss

Sometimes after a storm comes a rainbow

The Haven is my rainbow; a pregnancy support program created especially for loss moms – by a loss mom.

A safe place to go and belong, and to be seen by other moms who understand the courageous journey that is pregnancy after loss.  A confidential place where you do not ever have to feel alone in your pregnancy ever again.

The Haven is…

A 12-week virtual program with 1 on 1, heart-centered Doula support, weekly online workshops, a 12-module trauma informed birth education course, and an inclusive community of likeminded women who are experiencing pregnancy after loss like you.

Each week, we will meet virtually for one of a kind, PAL specific teaching workshops, have an opportunity to ask questions (and get answers), learn from guest speakers and share our stories – so you can feel empowered, connected and validated throughout your pregnancy.

This is for you if…

  • You are currently pregnant after experiencing pregnancy loss, stillbirth, TFMR or infant loss

  • You are looking for real time, 1 on 1 support during the moments you really need it

  • You want to feel understood by other women who know what loss and pregnancy after loss is like

  • You want to have a more empowered birth that feels comfortable, safe and full of love

  • You would like to deepen the connection you have with your baby

  • You want to learn about pregnancy, birth and postpartum on your own timeline and in the comfort of your home

  • You want to confidently advocate for yourself and your baby throughout pregnancy and birth

  • You want to prepare for a gentle and restful postpartum

  • You wish to learn how to best cope with fear and triggers throughout your pregnancy

  • You want to be able to speak freely about your experience and your loss or baby without guilt or use of trigger warnings

After loss, it’s scary to dream.

But you are here because you are courageous enough to follow that tug – that heart string that tells you there is a little one waiting for you.

Imagine if…

  • You weren’t alone in your moments of struggle – you could pick up your phone and share a text or voice note with other women like you, knowing you’d be met with love, understanding and compassion

  • You had a Doula in your back pocket, who gets it – someone who could hold space and answer all your questions whenever they came up, no matter how big or small

  • Your pregnancy didn’t have to feel like a terrifying thing – you could hope, you could feel grounded, you could feel peaceful (and even excited too)

  • You could talk about being a mother and your angel-baby freely – without the constant toxic positivity or invalidation from well-meaning friends and family

  • You could confidently advocate for you and your baby’s needs – feeling calm and secure, while still speaking with conviction, knowing your experience and concerns are valid and understandable

  • You had tools at hand to help you through your most difficult times – and a community to celebrate and honour the milestones along the way

In The Haven…

  • I love Kristin, she’s honestly everything you would hope for in a doula and more.

“She’s like the trusted older sister through pregnancy. If you’ve ever experienced pregnancy after loss you will know that it is a unique experience that not everyone will be able to understand or relate to. Kristin created the Haven for the woman experiencing pregnancy after loss and for all the things that may be on her heart. The good, the bad, the messy and the complicated. The Haven and Kristin offered a safe space for all of it.”

  • Kristin has created a beautiful haven for loss moms to have one another...

and also have access to expert guidance during pregnancy after loss. She is compassionate, available, and open about her own experiences and I felt wonderfully supported during my time in the Haven.

  • I love the birth course info.

Even with having taken other birth courses there is still so much valuable and unique info with The Haven, which is sensitive to PAL. I really enjoy the comfort measures / oxytocin explanation, nutrition, explanations of different interventions and BRAIN, and the partner’s role in pregnancy/ birth/ postpartum.

  • I was able to safely explore feelings and emotions that would seem strange to the world but completely normal for a mom after loss.

I could not have had the pregnancy I had after loss without her and this program. She is truly one of a kind. Don’t sleep on this one.

  • I am thankful that The Haven exists to fill a gap in the pregnancy / birth education and support world.

I had been looking for a trauma informed / full spectrum birth doula and struggled to find one in my area to connect with. I feel like your willingness to share your professional and personal experience and time is a gift in The Haven. I think this is so needed.

  • I have felt validated, respected, understood,

and been able to gain more confidence in my pregnancy after loss thanks to The Haven. Thank you.

Here’s what’s included in The Haven

What people are saying about The Haven

I am feeling very supported and blessed to have connected with you and the others in The Haven.

Before signing up for this course I felt hesitant to go to in person birth classes because of my prior TFMR loss experience and I feel like The Haven PAL program is exactly what i was needing / looking for in this unique experience and I have not felt uncomfortable at all. I’ve felt very supported and appreciate the check ins and variety of ways we can connect including course, workshops, group chat, and 1:1 chat. Thank you for creating this space.

Okay Kristin, this sounds amazing but – I have a therapist already…

And so do I! I think therapy is great and does wonders. But unless your therapist has actually gone through what you have and is also a doula, they won’t be able to support you in this very specific way. With The Haven, you will have 1-on-1 support with a Doula (me) who has lost several babies of her own before bringing my earthbaby Sena into the world. I understand this pain and grief and overwhelm intimately. I know the highs and lows of PAL. Which is why I am equipped to help you move through this.

I don’t really have time for this…

Our group meets once a week for 60-75 minutes. All of the calls are recorded, so many of the mamas with other little ones or busy lifestyles can review the material and conversations on their own time. The birth course is also a totally at your own pace curriculum you can watch through on your own.

Is this really worth the investment?

A better question to ask yourself is what will NOT feeling supported cost you? Look, I totally understand that this program isn’t cheap. But your pregnancy experience will quite literally set the stage for how you move forward into this next phase of your life – bringing your baby home after your loss. I am honoured to support you in this process, and facilitate the container where you can be seen and heard. A redemptive birth and postpartum experience is possible. The Haven will support you getting there.

Risk-Free Guarantee

We’ve had such great feedback on The Haven, we are confident enough to offer a 7-day money back guarantee. Attend the first live call and if this doesn’t feel right for you, we’ll give you a refund. *

Mama,

You are here because your desire is greater than your fear.

It takes so much courage to follow your heart – to listen to that little voice inside telling you there is someone waiting for you on the other side of that fear. But you’re here because you’re brave enough to do it despite your loss.

Find sanctuary in The Haven.
